serious skin care

When an acne sufferer first decides to do something about their problem, one of the first things they turn to is acne skin care products. And some people have great success with them, especially if they only have mild acne.

But often, people have little success with them, for a variety of reasons.

One of the most common reasons why a skin care product isn't curing your acne is because you are expecting too much from it. This can often be the case with some over-the-counter cleansers.

Some people will keep trying to use these cleansers regularly, which will eventually aggravate your acne and make it worse.

Sometimes you may have little success with over acne skin care products because you need to regulate the bacteria levels in your skin from the inside, not the outside. What do I mean by this? I mean you need to make sure your nutrition is healthy, that you drink enough water to keep your skin moisturised, and maybe even take some multi-vitamins.

It's important for you to keep track of the acne skin care products you are using, to make sure you know which opens are working for you or not. This will prevent you from using lots of different chemicals and products on your face that aren't helping, and could be making it worse.

Although chemicals like benzyl peroxide and salicylic acid both work to reduce the bacteria in your skin and exfoliate and cleanse your pores, if you over use them they can make your problem worse.

Now acne skin care products CAN be helpful, but if they aren't working for you, then you must see your dermatologist for some professional advice. Otherwise you could just be making your acne worse, which in the long run, is very counter-productive to having acne-free skin. Your dermatologist has access to many products which aren't allowed to be sold over the counter. These treatments may prove to be much more effective for you.
